Charlotte weather

It is 80 degrees for FOUR days in December? Welcome to Charlotte weather! We've been wearing shorts and hitting the park. While it is a lot of fun, it is hard to get into the Chirstmas spirit!

Biscuit!!

Emmie and Josh got to meet Biscuit. Biscuit is a dog from children's books. They thought it was very fun to see a giant puppy!

The Brackens come back!

We were so excited to get to see Joe, Melissa, Ian and Emma last weekend. Sarah had us over for yummy chili and we got to spend time with great friends on a gorgeous day!

Excuse me while I brag about my friends

I am lucky that I have the most amazing friends in the world. When I put out a call to volunteer for Christmas, we decided to adopt a family in need. Through our church, we found a family of seven who had a terrible housefire shortly after the father had been laid off from his job. They were in need of everything and we were happy to help. Within days, contributions of food, clothes, and household items were organized and we dropped two minivans full of gifts off for this family. There is no way to put into words how proud I am to have friends like I do.

HOW many?

Ryan and I made 10 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange the other night! He was such a big help!

Are these kids nuts?

It is no secret that the Hawks and Yale hang out and get crazy, but the real secret is that our kids are crazier than we are. They were running around like lunatics the other night! It was hilarious! A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Shannon and Greg on selling their house and buying a fabulous new one! Can't wait to hit the volleyball courts!

Completely in LOVE

Sure, she isn't mine, but I love her!!!!! Congratulations to Tom and Tennille and big brother QUAID! Loving this gorgeous girl, I tell ya. I mean, look at that perfect little face! She inspires one to actually have another baby!!

We went to see the new train in Charlotte. It was fun! It was a LONG wait, but the boys loved riding the train!

Getting the tree

In true Yale fashion, we had to put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving! Here we are at Lowes and decorating the tree! Josh was not so much help, but he tried.

Thanksgiving

I think I should be thankful that I managed to finally get some pictures on this blog! It seems like there is just never enough time anymore! The boys had a wonderful time at my parents house for Thanksgiving!! We all had a great day! Josh loved the pie!
