Christmas Day

Despite everyone having a cold, we had a great time on Christmas day! Grandma prepared a feast of roast and mashed potatoes and her famous french silk pie! We were stuffed. Ryan loved playing with his toys there and was sweetly playing with his brother!

Christmas Morning

As is the tradition in our family, Uncle Scott spent the night. Ryan and Josh woke up around 8:30 and Ryan was SO excited to see the gifts under the tree. He saw his drum set all set up and went instantly to that! My parents arrived and we watched the kids open their gifts. Ryan's favorite was the remote control digger! He about flipped his little lid! Josh had a great time too.

After brunch we went to church and on the way Ryan asked if it was Jesus' birthday. We told him it was and they we were going to church to celebrate. He thought for a moment and then asked, "Are we going to have cupcakes?" and we all laughed so hard.

Getting ready for Santa!

Ryan couldn't wait to leave Santa his cookie and milk! He made reindeer food at school and at Ms. Tracy's house, so they had a lot to munch on!

Christmas Eve

I LOVE this picture of Josh and Scott. Cracks me up!!!

As always, we spend Christmas Eve with family at my parents' house. This year it was extra special to be in their big and beautiful new house!! We had great food and DRINKS! Ryan and Josh were so excited. They looked adorable in matching outfits that Grandma had bought for them (and later in their jammies that were a gift from Grandma and Grandpa as well)! They delighted in opening their gifts and Ryan loved giving his gifts to people and throwing away the wrapping paper. Josh just loved eating it!

Christmas Eve!

Ryan and Josh loved opening their gifts! Ryan was really excited about his new scooter!!

More Christmas Eve

Josh was so funny! He loved opening gifts, but DON'T take the wrapping paper away from him! He had a fit! Check out that pout on his new chair!

Christmas Poem

From our card, for those who didn't get it!

Last Christmas passed with lots of joy and fun,
With all of us awaiting our new little son.
Who would have guessed that with the new year,
Would come a time of such happiness and fear?
Joshua Scott decided he'd just had enough,
Of waiting around for labor and stuff.
So early in January our little plotter,
Decided to break right out of his water!
He was born so tiny with such a sweet smile,
It was sad that he had to be in the NICU a while.
After 33 long days there, it was time to leave
Finally having our family together was hard to believe!
He is such a character, so full of cheer,
We cannot believe it has almost been a year!
Ryan just loves his job as a big bro,
He's a big helper and always on the go!
He is in preschool and doing really well!
A chip off Matt's block, it is so easy to tell.
He is obsessed with football, watching or playing
"GET HIM!" is what we often hear him saying.
Daddy and Uncle Scott are showing him the ropes,
Already preparing him for pro career hopes!
You would never believe the kid is only four,
As he reaches a clear four feet off the floor!
We are all doing well, just so busy each day.
Matt got a new position as an AVP at B of A.
Kelly is always busy with so many things,
Playdates and Mommy-dates, whatever the day brings.
We are very happy with our life in this southern town,
With so many marvelous friends and family around.
We hope that you are well and planning soon,
To visit our way for a week or an afternoon!
Merry Christmas and blessings to each of you!
Happy Holiday wishes and Happy New Year too!

Oh Christmas Tree

No matter what I do, I can't get a good picture of our tree. It taunts me. Here are some that are okay.

Trouble

Sure he's cute, but MAN oh MAN is he trouble!

Holiday Drinking

Someone has been hitting the egg nog...

Ryan's Christmas Program

Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Scott and Mommy and Daddy all came to see Ryan's Christmas show at school! We were lucky to snap a picture in the classroom because the lighting in the church wasn't good for pictures! Ryan didn't sing, of course, but he was sweet. We all went to lunch at Ryan's favorite chinese restaurant after. He had a special day with Grandma going to see Charlotte's Web after!

Child Labor Laws

Ryan has made 20 dozen cookies with me in the past couple of weeks! He is really such a great helper! We make a great little team. He hardly ever steals one of the hershey kisses!

Can you remember?

Remember when a cute, shirtless guy who made you swoon meant someone over the age of one?

You have to love this little man

The many faces of Ryan

Some of these are fuzzy, but you can't keep him still long enough to do much these days!!

I know you are reading!!

You all tell me that you read all the time, but I never hear from you on here!! Where are you hiding?? :) It has been a while since we updated. The holidays are NUTS! Look for great pictures in the week to come of Ryan's school Christmas program, making cookies and Christmas!

Slumber Party

We got to have Avery and Emmie over for a little sleep over while Shannon and Greg went to a party! You know I was loving some girl time!!
